18th International Symposium on Electrokinetic Remediation

The 18th International Symposium on ElectrokineticRemediation EREM2022 will be held in person on September 20-22, 2022 at the University of Le Havre -Normandie, France. EREM2022 aims to provide an opportunity to experts as well as researchers and students from different disciplinary fields to share and exchange their recent results on the electrokinetic remediation and other technologies remediation covering contaminated soils, sediments and waste water.The symposium on Electrokinetic Remediation (EREM) have been held since more than two decades. The first took place in Albi (France) in 1997, followed by subsequent editions spread around the world: Lyngby, Denmark (1999), Karlsruhe, Germany (2001), Mol, Belgium (2003), Ferrara, Italy (2005), Vigo, Spain (2007), Seoul, South Korea (2008), Lisbon, Portugal (2009), Kaohsiung, Taiwan (2010), Utrecht, The Netherlands (2011), Sapporo, Japan (2012), Boston, USA (2013), Málaga, Spain (2014), Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (2016), Montreal, Canada (2017), Canakkale, Turkey (2018) and San Miguel de Allende, Mexico (2019). The event has consistently attracted a large and diverse audience representing engineering and scientific communities and brings cutting edge developments in electrokinetics, allowing rich discussions of fundamental aspects of electrokinetics, applied research, environmental and sustainable remediation, modeling and simulation, combined techniques, etc.Le Havre (Normandie) is located in the western north edge of France, on the channel side. The city was partly destroyed during the second world war and was rebuilt according to a unique architecture which is classified as world heritage. Le Havre is surrounded by beautiful Norman landscapes which offer an opportunity to discover the French countryside and terroir.
